Morteza Naeiji has a master’s degree in painting. He first ventured into the fascinating field of animation by creating illustrations and background drawings. He developed an interest in character design over time and began creating characters for numerous series. He coexists with his vivid, emotionally complex characters. He began directing animation because it was highly appealing to him to travel with the characters he develops in the fictional world. He has directed more than seven animated series, including “KADOO BADOO,” “BLUELOOA,” “RABBIT RABBIT,” and etc.
In some projects, he has also served as an art director and a storyboard artist. He won the best director of TV series prize at the Tehran International Festival for one of his series, “CHIYA.”
He enjoys the outdoors and attempts to draw inspiration from it for his artwork. He also finds amusing subjects to be quite appealing, as evidenced by the design and depictions of his characters. He thinks, lives, and creates better when he laughs.
He has a strong sense of cooperation and is eager to join an animation team. Because he imagines that an animation team has high energy like the sun, causing them to be energized by its light.
These days, he is creating funny and unique characters for a children’s collection and he is also one of the founders of Backpacktoonz Studio.
